Veterinary surgeons

After growing up in Northern Ireland, Sinead moved to England to study at the University of Liverpool. After graduation, she worked for a practice in Halifax, and then moved to a practice in Chesterfield. Sinead joined the Hunters Bar team in 2017. Sinead adores all aspects of her job, especially meeting new clients and patients, and she loves how varied her days can be. Sinead lives with her partner and his two spaniels; Bo and Finn. She loves being outdoors and likes walking and camping in all weathers. She also enjoys climbing, aerial silks and aerial hoop.

Mike graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2002. His first veterinary jobs were in his native United States (the NEW England) but, after five years missing the old England, he came back. Mike has been practicing in the UK since 2007 and has a keen interest in medicine, though enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. He is pal to two lovely Lurchers, Fionn (AKA Fiondlebumps Humpty Pants) and Brigh (AKA Brighdelbaumella). He also has a cuddly (overweight) British shorthair named Bubba and two small monkeys - disguised as young human children. Away from the veterinary world he enjoys rambling the British countryside with his family, as well as a bit of creative writing.

Kristin qualified from Murdoch University in Australia in 2007. She spent the next decade working in Hong Kong; first with small animals, then later as a zoo and aquarium vet. She has a Master's degree in conservation medicine and is currently undertaking further studies in ultrasonography and aquatic animal health; though she enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice. In 2017 she moved to Sheffield with her adventure cat Sophie, and joined our practice shortly afterwards. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at the local wildlife shelter, hiking, reading and playing the cello.

Having grown up in Cyprus, Maria qualified from the Veterinary University of Budapest in 2019. She has since moved to the UK and started her first job at Hunters Bar Veterinary Group. Maria is greatly enjoying being a vet and is discovering new interests in different aspects such as surgery. Back home, she has a gorgeous dog called Coco and away from work she enjoys swimming, travelling and exploring new places.

Diana graduated from the University of Murcia in 2011 and spent three years in general practice in the South-East of Spain. She then moved to the UK in 2015 where she gained more experience working in different Small Animal practices in the East Midlands. She joined the Hunters Bar Veterinary Group team in February 2019.

Diana is interested in all aspects of her work. She loves meeting new clients and pets, and has recently commenced her studies to obtain a Certificate in Surgery.

In her spare time Diana loves exploring the Peak District, cooking, reading or visiting the Mediterranean Sea and its lovely beaches.

Caroline has been working at the Hunters Bar since 2016. She graduated in 1993 from the Royal Veterinary College, London and has worked for over twenty years in small animal practice - the first ten years or so in the south of the UK including some time travelling overseas and some veterinary work in New Zealand. In 2005 she moved up to Sheffield where she and her vet husband ran their own veterinary practice for six years. She has a three year old daughter and a cat called Blackie and is currently working part-time. Her veterinary interests are internal medicine, especially feline medicine, and teaching/coaching. Away from work she loves being outdoors, climbing, snowboarding and hiking.
